"Victor Pires played with a powerful sound that filled the room. He also made nice adjustments in tone and color between the various excerpts and demonstrated a thorough understanding of each orchestral work. He displayed fantastic dynamic contrast on the 'Ballerina's Dance' from Petroushka, and his interpretation of Bruckner 7 was spot on."
